The Canucks still had restricted free agents to get under contract prior to training camp, and Patrik Allvin appears to have sealed a deal with one of them.
Nils Hoglander, the team's second round selection in 2019 and his entry-level-deal came to an end. The Canucks' GM issued the following statement via the team's Twitter account:
Hoglander started the season in Vancouver where he registered 9 points in 25 outings. He was then sent down to Abbotsford to work on his two-way game where he managed 32 points in 45 games.
