After 13 years in the National Hockey League with the San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers, defenceman Justin Braun has decided to hang up the skates.

Braun started his National Hockey League career during the 2010-11 season, three years after he was selected in the seventh round (201st overall) by the San Jose Sharks.

He went on to appear in nine seasons with the Sharks, helping them reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2016 and Western Conference Final in 2019, before being traded to the Philadelphia Flyers, where he would spend the next four seasons.

Last season, Braun was traded to the New York Rangers and helped them reach the Eastern Conference Final where they lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning. He then signed a one-year contract to return to Philadelphia for the 2022-23 season.

Congratulations to Justin Braun on a great career and all the best in retirement!
