The Hockey Canada scandal has been well known for quite a while now, with partners and sponsors pulling all funding temporarily. One major partner, Bauer, has returned and will reinstate their funding amid the appointment of their new CEO and President Katherine Henderson.
While Bauer has returned, according to reports, Hockey Canada has permanently lost a major sponsor in Nike.
A major reason for these sponsors to pull funding within the last 12 months has to do with Hockey Canada's handling of sexual assault allegations in regards to the 2018 World Junior team. Results of the National Hockey League's investigation into the matter are expected to be released at some point over the summer.
