MAJOR/ John Garrett's replacements announced
With Shorthouse committing to another season, the question is who will fill in Garrett's place for the next season. It appears we may have an answer.
Rick Dhaliwal reports that the expectation is a Dave Tomlinson and Ray Ferraro split about 80/20.
Dave Tomlinson was a radio commentator with the Canucks on TSN 1040. Most recently, Tomlinson was Colour commentator for the Seattle Kraken before resigning this year. Reports have linked the Canucks and Tomlinson since he departure from the Kraken.
Ray Ferraro announced his departure from TSN is 2022 after spending 14 seasons with them. Last season, he did not work any games. Reports have linked him to colour commentator with the Canucks for some time now as well.
It seems that both will work in the colour commentary position in some sort of joint role. We will see how it continues to play out during the season.
