Milan Lucic is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the Boston Bruins after being arrested early Saturday morning, the team has confirmed.

Specifics have not been shared, but it has been referred to as a "domestic incident" and the team has confirmed the forward would be taking an indefinite leave of absence.

The Boston Bruins are aware of the situation involving Milan Lucic Friday evening,
the team's written statement reads.

The organization takes these matters very seriously, and we will work with the Lucic family to provide any support and assistance they may need.

Lucic, a Vancouver native, hasn't played since October 21 due to injury after signing a one year deal with the Bruins this past off-season.

The Bruins, who host the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night, said they would have no further comment at this time.
