Every year, May 29th is a sad day the Vancouver Canucks organization and fanbase.

This year marks 15 years since the tragic passing for former Vancouver Canucks defenceman Luc Bourdon, who was involved in a head-on motorcycle collision in his home province of New Brunswick.

Bourdon was the Canucks' first-round pick (10th overall) in 2005 and there was a lot of promise in the young blueliner coming out of the QMJHL where he played with the Val–d'Or Foreurs and Moncton Wildcats.

The Shippagan native appeared in 36 games for the Vancouver Canucks, scoring two goals. On the international stage, Bourdon won two gold medals at the World Juniors with Canada in 2006 and 2007.

Our thoughts are always with the Bourdon family on this difficult day.
