SIGNING ALERT | Former first-rounder attempts return in the NHL after five years away
The announcement just broke, Petter Holland will be given an opportunity to prove his worth with the Colorado Avalanche since he was offered a Professional Try Out with the team:
'Colorado #GoAvsGo have signed Peter Holland to a professional try out.
Drafted 15th overall by Anaheim in 2009, Holland last played in the NHL for the NY Rangers in the 2017-18 season.''
The 09 15th overall last played in North America during the 2018-2019 campaign when he managed 65 points in 73 AHL games. He then played two seasons in the KHL, then one in the SHL (Sweden) before taking the 2022-2023 year off.
Once a highly touted prospect, Holland showed how good he was in the OHL and the AHL, but it never translated to the NHL.
