LATEST | Former Canuck Oliver Ekman Larsson is currently making a statement in Florida
Former Vancouver Canucks defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson left the organization this summer after having his contract bought out, becoming an unrestricted free agent.
It didn't take him too long to find a new home, signing a one-year contract with the Florida Panthers on July 1st.
There wasn't a whole lot of pressure on Ekman-Larsson when he joined the Panthers and was expected to play a limited role, but so far this season, he's exceeded what anyone could have expected.
According to NHL Watcher on X, Ekman-Larsson has the same amount of goals in his short time with the Panthers that he did during his tenure with the Vancouver Canucks.
"Oliver Ekman-Larsson has as many goals in 26 games with Florida as he did during his entire tenure with the Canucks (133 games). #TimeToHunt"
Ekman-Larsson, 32, has 14 points this season with the Panthers (seven goals, seven assists), 16 penalty minutes and is a plus-one.
