LATEST | Developments regarding Elias Pettersson's extension: Frustration is growing
By not wanting to create a distraction with his extension during the season, he's been creating one. One thing he did get right however, is that by putting his sole focus on his play he'd be getting high-end results and that he has.
The team has been flying and so has Pettey, the way the centerman has been playing is worthy of a hefty raise and the Canucks have been very well aware of it. However, the Pettersson clan won't budge and it looks like they're ready to go the long way and wait this one out. "Canucks are pushing hard to get something done...you can't do it if the other side is not ready to come to the table & talk yet - that part has been a source of frustration."
In another segment, it was reveal that the Canucks are waiting on Pettersson and his clan to at least give them a ball park so that they can start offering money to other players. Allvin has lots of players to re-sign and Pettersson being the biggest piece, the Canucks intend on going by priority.
The way thing are going, Pettersson could managed a second 100-point season. Something only Pavel Bure managed back in his days, also in back-to-back seasons.
