The Vancouver Canucks took to the ice at Rogers Arena on Monday morning in preparation for tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers, a team they're familiar with this season, as this will be their third meeting.
It's unclear where Blueger will fit into the Canucks' lineup and who will come out to make room, but it's a decision that must be made pretty quickly, especially if he can play tonight.
The 29-year-old signed a one-year contract worth $1.9 million with the Vancouver Canucks this summer, reuniting with Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford, who he knows very well from his time with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Blueger is coming off a Stanley Cup championship with the Vegas Golden Knights after being traded to them by the Penguins on March 1st.
The Canucks will look to extend their win streak to four games tonight against Edmonton before they embark on a three-game Canadian road trip where they'll face the Ottawa Senators (November 9th), Toronto Maple Leafs (November 11th) and Montreal Canadiens (November 12th).
