Hughes became the 11th defenceman in National Hockey League history to have 20 or more three-point games aged 24-years-old or younger, joining other players such as Paul Coffey, Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Denis Potvin, among others.
Hughes also became the fifth defencemen in the last five-years to record a five-point game. He also tied a Vancouver Canucks franchise history for most points in a single game by a defenceman, first accomplished by Jeff Brown in 1995.
With the way Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson, among others, are playing to start the season, the sky is the limit with this group and there's no doubt that they could make it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2020.
