There's been tons of movement behind the Canucks' bench recently, starting with the team's addition of Rick Tocchet, Adam Foote and Sergei Gonchar.

Still on the job after he survived the Travis Green and the Bruce Boudreau firings, Jason King was finally let go at the end of the 2022-2023 campaign. He mainly took care of the special units (i.e.: Power Plays), and it hadn't been made clear yet who would be taking over his responsibilities.
In an interview with Iain MacIntyre from Sportsnet, Rick Tocchet clarified lots of things and confirmed that Gonchar along with Twins. Tocchet revealed that he intended on using both of them a whole lot more in the NHL this year:
''Sergei Gonchar and the twins (Daniel and Henrik Sedin), and I'll take a big chunk of it for now, and then we'll go from there. I'll be honest with you, I'm going to really rely on that core group of guys on the powerplay to come up with ideas.''

Two of the All-Time Canucks' most creative minds, Henrik and Daniel will surely be assets for the power play. The team's man advantage was completed last season as one of the best units. However, since Bo Horvat left, the team has not found a steady replacement to put into the bumper position. It seems clear that J.T. Miller, Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes and Andrei Kuzmenko will occupy four spots, but we are about to have a healthy competition to determine who keeps the fifth spot.
