The Vancouver Canucks will have to go without their top defenseman prospect Tom Willander as teammate and other top player for Vancouver Aiden Celebrini put a stop to him signing an entry level deal... At least for now.
By all reports it is still expected that defenseman Tom Willander will be signing with Canucks once his season concludes with BU, but the only question is when will that day come?
Aiden Celebrini sends Tom Willander and the Boston University Terriers to the Semi Finals
Willander could have been on his way to Columbus to join the Canucks on the tail end of their current 6-game road trip.
Unfortunately for the big club, Aiden Celebrini scored the game winning goal against Ohio State in the regional semifinals of the NCAA men's hockey tournament.
The winner would move on to the regional finals - the final step before the Frozen Four. The loser would head home, their season over.

While the Vancouver Canucks are pushing to claim the final wildcard spot in the Western Conference, their two top young prospects are pushing for their NCAA title as the Boston Terriers are now advancing to the semi-finals.
Following a single-elimination format, one team will emerge victorious from each regional to advance to the coveted Frozen Four.
So now, the team can be waiting a long time before the youngster can come over and join the depth backend as they easily can make it to the Frozen Final Four after defeating Ohio State.
