Canucks trade with the Blackhawks: The full transaction revealed
The reports broke just moments ago that Patrik Allvin was working on a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks.
In an attempt to free up cap space, the Canucks were eagerly trying to trade Ilya Mikheyev. By the looks of it, the Chicago Blackhawks are ready to make it happen.
Frank Seravalli revealed that Ilya Mikheyev had not yet approved a trade to the Blackhawks. However, the insider did revealed the full transaction:
Ilya Mikheyev hasn't formally agreed to waive his no-trade clause yet to go to #Blackhawks, but provided he does, teams have agreement in place on a trade:
To #Blackhawks: Ilya Mikheyev, 2nd Rd Pick, pending UFA Sam Lafferty
To #Canucks: 4th Rd Pick Mikheyev still has 2 years on his deal taking an annual $4.75M on the team's cap hit. This money might just be what the Canucks need to re-sign Dakota Joshua and Nikita Zadorov.
