Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson is looking ahead to the 2025-26 season and gave an update recently about how his offseason training is going.

It's safe to say that Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson has put the 2024-25 season in the past, a year that was filled with drama including trade rumors and a feud with J.T. Miller, both of which effected his play on the ice.
A little over a month after the season concluded, Elias Pettersson was back on the ice in his home nation of Sweden to begin his offseason training, as he looks ahead to, hopefully, a big bounce back year starting in October.

Elias Pettersson gives update on his offseason training program

The Sundsvall, Sweden native saw a pretty big drop in production last season as he registered just 45 points (15 goals, 30 assists) in 64 games.
Pettersson knows he has to be better next season and if the Vancouver Canucks are going to have any hopes of returning to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, they'll need him to get back to the top of his game.
Well, there's some good news on that front for Vancouver Canucks fans and the team in general as the 26-year-old recently gave an update on how his offseason training program is going.
Pettersson said that when the season concluded, he shifted his attention to preparing for the 2025-26 campaign and said that he's found more time to train in the gym this summer.
"We fought to get back, but it definitely took longer than we expected. But when the season was over, I switched to preparing for the next season and taking this time to train more in the gym, among other things" Pettersson said.

He added, "It sucks that we're still not playing, but I'll take advantage of the extra month of training to get started for next season."

With a little over two months to go until the Vancouver Canucks open up training camp, excitement is beginning to grow surrounding Elias Pettersson and everyone is looking forward to seeing how he performs.
