Elias Pettersson returns to the ice and addresses his illness
Elias Pettersson was seen taking to the ice on Wednesday morning ahead of the Canucks Game 1 matchup with the Oilers.
Pettersson missed Tuesday's practice with an illness, leaving some to question whether he'd be available in time for the start of Round 2.
Reports said he was under the weather after missing practice yesterday, so the Canucks star made sure to be one of the few players on the ice on Wednesday to try to get his legs back for Game 1.
Pettersson practiced on Monday without any apparent signs of illness, so fans are hopeful that Tuesday's absence was just an abundance of caution from the team and player. When asked how he felt about his absence from yesterday's practice, the Swede pointed out that he felt good.
The Canucks will need Pettersson healthy and at his best against the high flying Oilers, the 25 year old managed just three assists in six games against the Preds.
