Filip Hronek's agent, Allan Walsh, has called out a recent report from Sportsnet hockey insider Elliotte Friedman suggesting that his client could be available.

Some big news came down late on Monday night from National Hockey League insider Elliotte Friedman that indicated the Vancouver Canucks have made veteran players on their roster available for trade amid their poor start to the 2025-26 season.
"According to several sources, the Vancouver Canucks have let it be known that - in an effort to get younger - they are willing to listen to offers on 'veteran players.'" Friedman said.

Understandably, Vancouver's pending unrestricted free agents will likely be at the top of Patrik Allvin & Jim Rutherford's list of assets to move leading up to the deadline on Friday, March 6th, but beyond that, there are several other players on the roster that could garner interest including defenseman Filip Hronek, but his no-movement clause might make that difficult.

Shortly after Friedman's article was released, NHL player agent Allan Walsh, whose clients include Vancouver Canucks defenseman Filip Hronek, called out the report suggesting that the blueliner could be up for grabs.
"Kind of funny when people in media speculate on a player and the potential of a trade without also mentioning the player has a Full No Move Clause. 🙄" Walsh said on X.
However, Friedman didn't exactly say that Filip Hronek could be available and even went as far as saying teams around the league aren't expecting him to go anywhere before the deadline.
"They've made it clear (trading him) is not their priority right now," one executive said to Friedman about Quinn Hughes. (Filip Hronek is another player teams feel is unlikely to go anywhere.)"

With how reliable Filip Hronek is on both sides of the puck for the Vancouver Canucks, no-movement clause or not, it probably wouldn't be a smart move to deal him at this time anyways, especially if Patrik Allvin was to trade captain Quinn Hughes in the months ahead.
The Canucks aren't committing to a full-on rebuild, nor do they want to tear it down completely, but there's no question Patrik Allvin is going to receive calls on some of his top guys and it's going to be very interesting to see what this roster looks like after 12 p.m. PT on March 6th.
