Former Vancouver Canucks power forward Dakota Joshua has officially decided what number he will wear as the newest member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and he has taken a fan favorites.
Just five days ago, the Vancouver Canucks made the questionable decision to trade beloved power forward Dakota Joshua to the Toronto Maple Leafs in order to shed his $3.25 million to get some big upgrades on the open market.
But, by all accounts, this may already turn out to be a major mistake for General Manager Patrik Allvin not being able to land any of the UFA's available.

When ever a player joins a new team, many fans anticipate what number their will wear, and if that number has any history or connection to former alumni.
Many times, some will even by lucrative gifts for a teammate if threat number has already been taken.
In this case, Joshua will wear #81 the same number a beloved goal scorer Phil Kessel.
Although it may raise some eye-brows of some Toronto Maple Leaf fans, it is not meant to be any disrespect as he wore the same number with the Vancouver Canuck's.
Joshua stated he is a big fan of the most famous Maple Leaf to wear the number: Phil Kessel.
"I love the mojo there," Joshua told Postmedia's Lance Hornby. "I knew his story and looking forward to playing a long time here like Kessel did."
