Insider reveals New information regarding Elias Lindholm's injury
Nobody was pleased to hear that the Canucks' newest acquisition had been troubled by an injury. It started as something that was holding him back, and it has now completely taken him off the line-up.
Rick Tocchet first talked about something nagging him, now that he's been out of the line-up for the team's two last games, people are starting to wonder if it isn't a more significant issue.
Rick Dhaliwal gave a significant update on the subject while on the Donnie and Dhali show earlier today. The Canucks insider stated that from the information he was able to gather, the Canucks' number 23 is not dealing with a broken bone, but the current belief is that Lindholm could be out of business for a while.
How long is a while? Tocchet has constantly been saying it wasn't too serious, just like he did with Demko. Turns out that the Canucks' top netminder will have been sidelined for a month. Is Lindholm about to stay on the sidelines until the end of the regular season?
More than one person thinks Lindholm could be out for a while. Not hearing anything is broken.
Points out how Tocchet originally said Demko wasn't serious but ended up being out 4-5 weeks.
"Are we looking again at 4-5 weeks?"
After paying such a hefty price to acquire his services, it would be catastrophic if Lindholm were to be out for an extended period of time. The Canucks are going to need all the depth they can get as they prepare to play the Avalanche, the Golden Knights, the Jets and Stars who aren't lacking depth.
