Former Vancouver Canucks superstar J.T. Miller is well regarded as one of the most tenacious and abrasive players in the league, and it appears that he's passed down those qualities to his 2-year-old son.
In a recent interview, J.T. Miller's wife, Natalie Craig, revealed a shocking incident that happened to their child, and it's a story to read with caution if you're squeamish.
Although J.T. Miller has found a new home with the New York Rangers, he still holds a special place in the hearts of all Canucks enthusiasts, especially those who feel they should have traded
Elias Pettersson instead.
While Canucks fans are still dealing with the aftermath of an ugly divorce with their ex-superstar, J.T. Miller's wife recently described a situation about their son that is sure to have fans up in arms.
Natalie Craig Miller tells shocking story about their 2-year-old sons accident
According to Natalie, their son lost his finger in a horrific accident -- but the story has a hilarious twist.
"I heard this bloodcurdling scream and its my littlest, my 2 year-old boy, got his pinky shut in our mudroom door, the hinge part, just severed her right off,"
Oddly enough, Natalie Miller was smirking throughout the story, very noticeably trying to hold back her laughter.
"We're on our way walking him to the operating room and my son is chanting 'Pinky Miller' all the way down, all the nurses are dying, they all know that it's J.T.'s son and he wouldn't stop," said Natalie smiling from ear to ear at this point. "After the surgery he was [looking at his hand] and going 'I'm Pinky Miller!"
"Just a little backstory so it makes sense, if you're from Vancouver or if you've been to Rogers Arena... you would have heard the J.T. Miller chants which were insane," said Natalie. "So our kids started to catch onto to it... the kids would do it at school it was so embarrassing."
Obviously, if you've been privileged enough to watch playoff games at Rogers Arena, you will remember fans chanting "J.T. MILLER" on repeat.
Well folks, it seems that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree after all.
As terrifying as it must've been for the Miller family witness their son go through such a traumatic experience, it's still amazing to see how proud his son is of his dad.
