Even though no longer apart of the Canucks, New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller is still loved by many in Vancouver, and his wife Natalie Craig has given a look behind the scenes of being the partner to an NHL player.
J.T. Miller's Wife Natalie Craig Speaks on husband fighting Team Canada's Colton Parayko
In the heated altercation that brought so much drama and excitement to the first matchup with Team Canada and USA at this years inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off, J.T. Miller was the the 3rd player to mix it up and drop the gloves to start the game.
The thing is, it was a major mismatch as Miller took on the biggest member of Team Canada in Colton Parayko, who comes in at a whomping 6'8, 228 pounds.
That being said, the fight finished fairly even, sparking the both Teams to an instant classic.
One person who was not a fan of the mix-up was Miller's wife, Natalie Craig, who opened up on the Never Offside Podcast stating who concerned and frightened she was to see him take on such a large opponent.
"Why, why, why!" were her thoughts. "You don't want to pick somebody smaller than you, so that's fine. But really, six-eight? I would love to see a statistical sheet of who my husband has fought and why are they all over six-five." J. T. Miller's height is 6 ft 1 in, and he picked Colton Parayko, who is 6 ft 8 in, for a brawl during the 4 Nations Face-Off!
It goes to show just how far players go for their team, especially their country. It is what makes hockey players the toughest athletes on the planet, but boy do their partners have to worry a ton..
