The Vancouver Canucks could look to Philadelphia to make yet another addition on defence.

While Philly has two pending UFA defenceman in Sean Walker and Nick Seeler who many teams are reportedly interested in, Vancouver apparently has its sights set on an addition with term.

Both teams are also reportedly interested in Chris Tanev, and could look to Ristolainen as a consolation prize.

Ristolainen's name has appeared in rumours this year, and while in years past his advanced stats have been among the worst in the league, Philly has been relatively happy with the 29 year old in a more limited role.

With three years remaining following this season at $5.1 million, Philly would have to retain money to make a deal work, and the expectation is that they would be willing to - for a price.

Some have speculated that a roster forward could be part of the return for a defenceman like Risto, hence the Canucks reported interest in UFA Phil Kessel.

While likely a lesser player to Chris Tanev, Ristolainen could provide some stability and physical play to Vancouver's backend on a long term basis.
