The Vancouver Canucks have a plethora of prospects in their system that could be NHL-ready within the next year and one of those who could get a look very shortly is Arshdeep Bains.

Bains, who was the Abbotsford Canucks' representative for the 2024 AHL All-Star Game in San Jose, has had a great season thus far in the minors.

The Surrey native is currently in his second season with the Abbotsford Canucks and has already surpassed his career-high in points, by putting up 39 in 42 games during the 2023-24 campaign.

When meeting with the media on Thursday, Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Rick Tocchet told reporters that Bains is deserving of a chance to come up and skate with the team in the future.

"Rick Tocchet says that Arshdeep Bains is probably deserving of a chance to come up and skate with the NHL club in the future."

The 23-year-old is nearly a point-per-game player in the American Hockey League and certainly should be considered for a call-up if an injury issue arises in Vancouver over the final couple of months of the 2023-24 regular season.

Do you think Arshdeep Bains will be called up by the Vancouver Canucks before the end of the 2023-24 season? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
