More Positive News Revealed Regarding Vancouver Canucks Forward J.T. Miller
As the Vancouver Canucks prepare to continue their homestand on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues, many have been wondering when the team will have J.T. Miller back in the lineup.
Miller has been away from the team since November 19th after taking a leave of absence for personal reasons, with fans, media and the Vancouver Canucks supporting him at this time.
Last week, Rick Dhaliwal gave an update on J.T. Miller, saying that he's back on the ice skating and getting ready for a return to game action, but will need some practices with the team before that happens.
Rick Dhaliwal gives another update on J.T. Miller
During Monday's edition of Donnie & Dhali, Rick Dhaliwal shared that Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller is only one or two practices away from returning to the team's lineup.
If that happens to be the case, Vancouver Canucks fans could see J.T. Miller return to game action later this week, potentially against the Florida Panthers on Thursday or Boston Bruins on Saturday as part of Hockey Night in Canada.
Target return date set for J.T. Miller?
TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger was a guest on Sekeres and Price on Monday and was asked about J.T. Miller's return to the Vancouver Canucks.
Dreger said that it sounds like J.T. Miller will return to practice with the team on Wednesday and as for his return to the team's lineup, that'll be up to him and how he feels, but the Canucks forward is excited about coming back.
"Yeah, I mean it's been expected right, that J.T. Miller would make his return to the Vancouver Canucks and the good news is they are targeting Wednesday where he will practice.
That's the expectation with the Canucks. Beyond that though fellas, as you would expect the organization is going to leave it entirely up to J.T. to decide when he's ready to jump back into the league and back into the Canucks lineup on a full-time basis." Dreger said.
He added, "You can make a pretty easy argument couldn't you that the Vancouver Canucks desperately need him back into the mix and it sounds like he's recharged, it sounds like he's excited about coming back.
But again, the official return of J.T. Miller from a regular season perspective is going to be up to him and that'll be a decision that's made in concert with head coach Rick Tocchet."
Miller, 31, was off to a strong start prior to his leave of absence, registering 16 points (six goals, ten assists), nine penalty minutes and is a plus-one in 17 games this season.
