Hughes spoke on the adversity the team has faced with all the injuries, and how he is happy with how well everyone has battled, even if the results do not support that. While the team has not been built to withstand these things, it is admirable they have not thrown in the towel.
He has also spoken to the merit of Wilander and Pettersson who have had to take on much bigger roles, and is impressed with how they have performed despite all the issues surrounding the team. The game against the Blackhawks is sure to be entertaining, and the Canucks will have another chance to prove their resilience.
