'Still Upset' - Former Captain Bo Horvat Throws Serious Shade at the Vancouver Canucks in Recent Interview
Former Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat still seems pretty upset about how his time ended in Vancouver and he directed those emotions towards Patrik Allvin in a recent interview.
With all the drama that is surrounding the two Vancouver Canucks superstars J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, former Canucks captain Bo Horvat was asked about his relationship with them, but the conversation uickly tunred onto another topic.
"Miller and I got along great. There's gonna be times when you're gonna cuss each other out. There's gonna be times when you're not gonna like somebody, but at the same time, you respect everybody," Horvat said. "You're all friends in there, you're all teammates, and you're all fighting towards the same goal. Are you gonna get along all the time? No, but at the same time, he and I had a good relationship. Same with me and Petey"
Former Captain Bo Horvot Still Not Happy with the Vancouver Canucks
Miller and Horvat may have a had a good relationship on and off the ice, but its was the arrival of Miller from Tampa Bay that became the nail in the coffin for Horvat having to move on to another team.
The current New York Islander forward disclosed that he holds nothing against Miller, but its still quite upset about how the whole situation of getting traded went down.
He revealed that he was told the exact opposite information of what ended up occurring, and because of that he is frustrated.
"I was never mad at him. Honestly, the way it was all handled is what I was most upset about," Horvat said. "They said one thing, and they did the complete opposite. It's just frustrating when you are told one thing, and the opposite happens. That's not to say I'm not happy where I am right now.
But in the end, it worked out for him he said, saying he loves being apart of the Islanders organization.
"Obviously, I love Long Island, love being here, and I'm happy to be here, but, yeah, just the way it was all handled rubbed me the wrong way. But at the same time, everything happens for a reason, and that's why I'm here. I couldn't be happier."
Cleary, Bo Horvat remains a bit bitter for how his tenure in Vancouver concluded, highlighting broken promises ending up in a trade, but he has embraced this new chapter in Long Island, expressing everything happens for a reason.
