The Vancouver Canucks are in desperate need of a 2nd line center, and as of recently rumours began swirling that the Boston Bruins might be dealing Casey Mittelstadt to the Canucks.

The need for a 2nd line center for the Vancouver Canucks, has long been a conversation all summer.
"The Canucks will most likely start season without anyone supporting Elias Pettersson up the middle. The lack of depth of the top-six forwards already addressedmore than once this offseason."-Stinson

Latest report has Casey Mittelstadt being sent to Vancouver Canucks.

Austin Sabourin of Bruins Insider recently reported on the possibility of Mittelstadt heading to the Vancouver Canucks. The rumoured trade would have Nils Hoglander and a 2nd rounder heading to Boston in exchange for Mittelstadt.
"Mittelstadt has shown some offensive upside, he finished last season with 40 points and 15 goals, and could do better on a much more rounded out team like the Canucks."-Sabourin

This isn't the first attempt for the Canucks to acquire a 2nd line center, they have tried several times this offseason but to no avail.
"Among the options the Vancouver Canucks have reportedly considered this summer, but have struck out on, include Marco Rossi, Christian Dvorak and Mikael Granlund, however, there is one player, who is a former first round pick, to keep an eye on over the coming weeks."-Sabourin

It would be a much needed acquisition for Vancouver, it's been said in the past they are looking really thin up the middle, and if one center goes down it could spell disaster for the club.
The addition of Mittelstadt would take off much needed pressure from Elias Pettersson, and it would be a big addition to the power play as well. For now these are just rumours, but it could add immeasurable benefit to the Canucks.
