Vancouver Canucks forward David Kampf, who the club just signed last weekend, has announced some life-changing news on social media recently.

It's been a busy few weeks for Vancouver Canucks forward David Kampf, which started with him being placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract and ultimately, he became an unrestricted free agent.
Kampf had a number of teams interested in his services, but it was the Vancouver Canucks who signed him to a one-year deal for the remainder of the 2025-26 season with a cap hit of $1.1 million USD.
"David is a very reliable two-way centre who will improve our strength and depth down the middle immediately. He is good in the faceoff dot and is a solid penalty killer, two areas of need we currently have on our team. His hockey IQ is also a big asset and we believe he will fit in nicely with our group." Patrik Allvin said.

In a post on social media earlier this week, David Kampf and his wife, Eliška announced that they will be welcoming their second child into the world in March 2026.
"The photo that David and Eliška posted to Instagram had their son Michael wearing a knitted sweater that said «velký brácha,» which is Czech for big brother." Trevor Beggs of Daily Hive said.

Kampf, a native of Chomutov, Czechia, has appeared in two games so far for the Vancouver Canucks, going point-less and is a minus-two while averaging 13:44 of ice time per night.
The 30-year-old centerman will hopefully give Adam Foote some stability down the middle amid injuries to Filip Chytil and Teddy Blueger, and if he's able to prove he still has what it takes to play at the NHL level, he could be in line for a big opportunity at the 2026 Winter Olympics with Czechia in February where he may suit up with his fellow Vancouver Canucks teammates Filip Hronek and Filip Chytil.
Everyone here at Canucks Daily would like to congratulate David Kampf and his wife Eliška on this incredible news.
