Vancouver Canucks Make Big Statement with Starting Goalie Choice for Matchup Against Ottawa Senators
Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet has announced his starting goaltender for their matchup with the Ottawa Senators tonight.
Just days away from the holiday break, the Vancouver Canucks get ready to face-off against the Ottawa Senators this evening to try and get back in the in the win column.
It has been a major up and down season for Canucks, and with Thatcher Demko fully back from his knee injury, Rick Tocchet now has two elite goalies to choose from on a nightly basis.
Demko missed the first two months of the season recovering from a knee injury he suffered in Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs against the Nashville Predators. The 29-year-old had a career-high 35 wins, five shutouts, 2.45 goals-against average, and .918 save percentage in 51 games in 2023-24. - TSN

But Rick Tocchet made a big statement be announces thing Lankinen will be getting the net again tonight, showcasing that he feels he is the best option to get win when their are the most dyer.
The Canucks have only just won 2 games in their last 6, and they need to make sure they finish off their last two games before they go off on holiday to set the tone for when they comes back.
If not, with all the dram around some of their biggest stars, it will give them a chance to fully reset and come back stronger than ever.
