The Vancouver Canucks recently brought in David Kampf who wasn't having the best time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the newly signed center is expecting a second baby with his wife Eliška.

"By coming to the Vancouver Canucks, Kampf gets a chance to play in the National Hockey League again, while also appearing on their penalty kill, but it looks like he has his sights set on a big opportunity in early 2026."-Jaxon

Kampf newly signed Canuck is extending his family.

Trevor Beggs of the Daily Hive reported on Kampf's journey to Vancouver, starting out in Toronto, he wasn't given a chance out of training camp. He was forced to play in the minors, and had his contract terminated for refusing to travel.
"That led Toronto to terminate Kämpf's contract, where he quickly signed a one-year deal with the Canucks worth $1.1 million. He debuted with the team on the road against the Florida Panthers, the city furthest away from Vancouver in the entire league, before travelling back to the West Coast for his first home game on Thursday night."-Beggs

But besides his new team, he is having a second child due in March, extending his family by one. And speaking of family he recently spoke on how having some fellow countrymen on his team is something he's excited about.
"I know [Filip Hronek] a little bit from the past, so it's nice to have some Czech guys on the team. Last couple years, I had nobody, so it's always, always good to have some, some Czech guys on the team. Last couple of weeks was a little bit harder, but I'm happy I'm here and I can play again. It's been a busy last couple days. I joined the team on the road, so it was good to spend some time with the boys, and I'm ready to play."-Kampf

The Canucks put a band-aid on a bullet wound when it comes to their situation up the middle. But at least for Kampf he has found a new home and expecting some great things ahead.
