Vancouver Canucks' Sedin twins aren't done competing
At 44 years old, the Sedin twins are not done competing. Legends Daniel and Henrik played their last game with in Vancouver nearly seven years ago.
Canucks legends Daniel and Henrik Sedin ran the Vancouver Sun Run.
The Canucks legends were among the 39,378 participants who completed Sunday's annual Vancouver Sun Run, and they likely finished it faster than anyone you know.
Daniel and Henrik Sedin competed in the Sun Run yesterday. They continue to be incredible.
Rob Williams from DH Sports writes that Daniel Sedin recorded an impressive time of 36:06, while his brother Henrik completed the 10-km race in just 37:10.
"Daniel's time was just 7:57 off the winning time of 28:09 from Sam Atkin of Great Britain. For reference, Atkin is a long-distance runner who competed in the 10,000-m race at the Tokyo Olympics four years ago." -Williams
Daniel finished with the 17th-fastest time among 2,321 male runners aged 40 to 44, while Henrik placed 26th in the same division.
"While they've yet to open up their own gyms like Trevor Linden or Steve Nash, the Sedins' fitness level has become legendary." -Williams
Just a year earlier, Daniel took on the Multi Grouse Grind Challenge, completing the climb an incredible 11 times in a single day.
Since retiring in 2018, they've also tackled a 25 km trail race in North Vancouver and participated in the 42.2 km Vancouver Marathon, among other events.
They were both born to be athletes.
