The new look Vancouver Canucks are playing at Madison Square Garden tonight against the New York Rangers, the morning skate lineups were recently unveiled, and to many's surprise Brock Boeser was not present, along with Aatu Raty looking like a healthy scratch for tonight.

Marco Rossi will take on the first line center duties, as Elias Pettersson is still out with an injury.
"Injuries issues have been a big problem for the Vancouver Canucks all season long and earlier this month ahead of their game against the Minnesota Wild, the club lost forward Elias Pettersson with an upper-body injury, which required him to undergo an MRI to determine the full extent of what he's dealing with."-Jaxon

Brock Boeser surprisingly not in action in Vancouver Canucks morning skate.

Thomas Drance posted on X the morning line rushes ahead of tonight's game. Boeser remains the biggest concern, but it also seems like Raty is not getting enough opportunity.

The Canucks are coming off an emotional win, their first game without Quinn Hughes, by a score of 2-1, and a historical night for Zeev Biuum who scored a goal and an assist. He will look to continue his momentum at MSG tonight. Rossi and Liam Ohgren will also look to get their first points as Canucks. The Canucks are in the process of redefining themselves without their captain. They need to create a new identity and that takes time. Especially with the younger guys who were brought in, developing a winning culture is necessary to ensure a better future for the Canucks.
