After months of trade speculations, injuries and drama that have surrounded the Vancouver Canucks, it was believed that with the recent trade of J.T. Miller, there would be a grace period to give fans a break, but unfortunately, that is not the case with the recent announcement about netminder Thatcher Demko.
Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko leaves game and won't return after apparent injury
Thatcher Demko has had a tough go of it ever since he returned from a knee injury on December 10th.
After going down in the first-round of the Stanley Cup playoffs last season, Thatcher Demko has had a long a difficult ten months trying to rehab a pair of knee injuries which almost ended his career.
When things were just about starting to look up, Demko left today's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, appearing to tweak his lower body half way through the first period.

Looks like Thatcher Demko tweaked something during warmups tonight.
Fortunately they have Kevin Lankinen to step right in like he has done all season long, but Canucks fans' worst fears worst confirmed when it was announced Demko would not return to the game.
Canucks G Thatcher Demko will not return to tonight's game.
The unfortunate thing to this whole story is the 29-year-old is coming off easily his best career season.
He was the runner-up to Winnipeg Jets netminder Connor Hellebuyck for the Vezina Trophy and while there's still plenty of time to rebound this season, him leaving the game and not returning is extremely worrisome.
