Insider CONFIRMS the front-runner for an NHL expansion
NHL insider Kevin Weekes has listed several cities lined up for potential expansion into the NHL.
According to Weekes, among the teams, Atlanta seems to be a front-runner of the groups that do not have an arena yet. Forsyth County, Georgia, is precisely where the team would take place. The city has gotten approval to begin a development project for a stadium.
Forsyth County is planning on having a new billion-dollar arena. An article written by Fox 5 says,
"The Gathering at South Forsyth " features restaurants, stores, a business hotel, and residential units. A 750,000-square-foot arena would anchor the venue."
This potential arena could lead to an NHL expansion shortly for Atlanta.
