LATEST | Announcement regarding Jonathan Lekkerimaki and Elias Pettersson ahead of upcoming International events
The World Junior Summer Showcase is an annual tournament held in the United States in late-July/early-August. It features four teams: Finland, Sweden, as well as two United States squads.
On Thursday, Sweden named their roster for the tournament and it features a pair of Vancouver Canucks prospects - forward Jonathan Lekkerimaki and defenceman Elias Pettersson.
USA Hockey also revealed their 44-man roster, which will be split into two teams, on Thursday afternoon, which contains Canucks 2022 sixth round pick Jackson Dorrington.
The tournament is set to begin on July 29th, with Sweden facing off against USA Blue at 1 p.m. ET. They'll follow that up by playing USA White at 7 p.m. ET on July 31st, Finland on August 2nd at 1 p.m. ET before wrapping the tournament up on August 4th against USA Blue, again, at 1 p.m. ET.
