LATEST | Anthony Beauvilier replies to Horvat's comments on Vancouver
Horvat has been taking lots of heat recently for commenting the Canucks' management and fan bases of his new team in New York. He stated that it was «a lot better then Vancouver».
Horvat was traded for a 1st Round Selection, Aatu Raty and Anthony Beauvilier. The latter had spent the entirity of his professional career with the Long-Island organization and had his own opinion on the subject:
''I'm sure he didn't mean it the way the fans took it. I think it was about him being in a playoff position. I've loved it here. I think the city has been great."
Anthony Beauvilier has been quite the surprise since he joined the Canucks, the winger has even been more productive then Horvat since joining the Canucks. He registered 20 points in 33 games while Horvat put up 16 in 30.
Beauvilier remains under contract at a $4.15M AAV for a year still, it'll be interesting to see where the Canucks chose to go from there. Obviously he's liked his time in Vancouver, should the team's management consider keeping him for a longer term?
