LATEST | Canucks' priority order at the NHL Draft has been revealed
The Vancouver Canucks will have a tough decision to make with the 11th overall pick in the NHL Entry Draft later this month. Plenty of high-end prospects will be available to them when Allvin takes to the podium, but who are they leaning towards selecting?
While on 'Sekeres and Price', Rick Dhaliwal shared five names that the Canucks have their eyes on with the 11th overall pick, including a couple new players.
Dhaliwal said that he's talked to some people who said they wouldn't be shocked if the Canucks take Swedish right-shot defenceman Tom Willander with their first-round pick. The Canucks have not selected a defenceman in the first-round since
Quinn Hughes in 2018.
He also went on to mention that the Canucks have Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) centerman
Nate Danielson ranked pretty high on their draft list and that the team has given 'a lot of love' to
Zach Benson, Matthew Wood and
Dalibor Dvorsky, all of whom they've been linked to in recent weeks.
If Dhaliwal's information is correct, it sounds like one of Zach Benson, Tom Willander, Nate Danielson, Matthew Wood or Dalibor Dvorsky could be putting on a Canucks jersey when they take the stage at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on June 28th.
Regardless of who Allvin decides to select, if it's one of the five names mentioned above by Rick Dhaliwal, they're going to be adding one hell of a player to their prospect pool.
