LATEST | NHL superstar has a brilliant idea to get rid of a specific penalty
The NHL's best player, Connor McDavid, has a lot of influence in the league and when he talks, Gary Bettman and other senior officials need to listen.
In a recent interview with Sportsnet, the Edmonton Oilers captain was asked if he would change anything about the National Hockey League and his response could significantly limit the amount of times this specific penalty is called.
"The glass, folding it in at the top. Keeping pucks in, like a little bit of a bowl." McDavid said.
If the NHL were to implement the change that Connor McDavid suggests, it would help the game significantly in two ways. It would limit the amount of stoppages by the puck going up over the glass, but it would also limit how many 'delay of game' penalties are called throughout a game.
Would you like the National Hockey League to add a curve/fold in the glass to help keep pucks in play? Let us know in your thoughts in the poll below!
