LATEST | Slovakian centerman is having a blast at the U18 and may be exactly what the Canucks asked for
The Canucks' next draft will be of the utmost importance in their retooling. With their late-season surge, the Canucks hold the 11th seeding and unless a miracle happens, they'll be picking at no. 11.
While a ton of options will be available for the Canucks a feisty winger could very well be available at their rank of selection. The Slovakian winger Dalibor Dvorsky has been playing great at the international levels, he was dominant at the World Junior Championships and has been just as dominant during the U18s.
Known to be a left-handed shot, who can play both center and wing, 6'01'' and 200 pounds. The scouting reports present him as a player that fills precisely what the Canucks are looking for. His talent was on display earlier when he filled the net in his latest game in the U18 World Championship:
''Dalibor Dvorsky is an excellent center prospect with a great shot and the defensive instincts to be a two-way force in the NHL someday. Playing in the second-tier Swedish pro league HockeyAllsvenskan, Dvorsky has established himself as one of the top-10 prospects in most prospect evaluators' minds, with the vast majority seeing him as a top-16 talent. This is his first year playing against grown men, after several years of being the youngest player on his team at the junior level, and he has remained effective while showing off more of what he could be in the NHL.''
- The Hockey Writers
Could Dvorksy be what the Canucks need? Could he truly be the answer moving forward?
