LATEST: We now know where Bear sits in Tocchet's lineup
Rick Tocchet held his first practice as the Canucks' head coach yesterday and shook things up big time with a brand new lineup.
One thing that remained unsure was Ethan Bear's place in that lineup, since he hadn't come back yet with the team after he lost his dog a few days ago.
According to the information we gathered from practice, only the extra's ahead of the tonight's game skated. Thomas Drance from the Athletic revealed :
"Looks like only scratches at the #Canucks' first game day skate of the Rich Tocchet era. Stillman, Pederson, Bear are the skaters with both Delia and Martin."
Riley Stillman, Lane Pederson and Ethan Bear were the extras. Probably indicates that Kyle Burroughs will be in the lineup.
For now I wouldn't worry too much about Bear being a healthy scratch tonight. He had not skated in a few days, with the new staff coming in, it'd be perfectly normal for them to get him the chance to get a few reps before coming back.
He'll most likely be back in the lineup for the Canucks' tomorrow in Seattle or against the Blue Jackets at the latest. In my opinion, he's been too good to sit out. What do you think of Tocchet's handling of the lineup?
