MAJOR | An announcement has been made on former Canucks captain Bo Horvat
The Canucks made a hard choice when they sent away their team captain of four years to the Islanders, but with hindsight, nobody can argue the decision. Even a year later, it's difficult to determine who truly had the upper hand since both parties have had their fair share of success.
AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON HORVAT: MILESTONE REACHED
The Islanders were back from their break and were hitting the ice in Toronto, against the Maple Leafs. This marks another career milestone for the former Canuck leader since it was his 700th game as an NHLer.
The veteran celebrated the occasion with a heavy tilt with one of the Leafs' defenceman.
79 games as an Islander, 621 games as a Canuck, Horvat is well on his way to hit the 1000th mark. With 20 goals on the season after only 49 games, the London, ON. Native hopes to break the 30 goals mark for a third straight year.
