MAJOR | First player from the 2018 Team Canada finally surrenders to the police
It's been the hottest news for the last week: four current NHLers and one former top draft pick have left their respective teams under suspicious circumstances involving the 2018 Team Canada scandal.
Following their investigation, the London Police Dept. finally called five players to surrender to face the charges. Alex Formenton, whose rights belong to the Senators, was the first to make it:
BREAKING: Alex Formenton, a former NHL player with the Ottawa Senators and 2018 junior player, has turned himself in to London police. "Alex will vigorously defend his innocence and asks that people not rush to judgment without hearing all the evidence."
While it's inevitable that the players will be facing charges, no updates have been given regarding the NHL or the players' respective teams' standpoint regarding this whole situation.
