The Maple Leafs were playing the Blue Jackets last night and Matthews was surprised and were handed a 4-3 loss.
A play on which William Nylander was penalized is generating quite a buzz around the internet. Nylander's been fired this season as he's managed an impressive 61 points in 54 games on pace for a career-best season.
Though, last night, things weren't going the Leafs' way. Nylander took a late hit from the Jacket's defender Nick Blankenburg and he delivered a cheap headshot afterward. Here:
