Former Junior Hockey Goaltender Sadly Passes Away at Just 25-Years-Old

A former Quebec-born junior hockey goaltender who played in one of Ontario's top leagues has sadly passed away at the young age of 25-years-old last weekend.
2025 has been a tough year so far for the hockey world with the the passing of former first round pick Miika Elomo, former Atlanta Thrashers defenseman Tomas Kloucek and unfortunately, several others.
This week, the hockey world is mourning the loss of a former junior hockey goaltender, who spent time in the Ontario Junior Hockey League and Central Canadian Hockey League.
Former junior hockey goaltender Antoine Bourdeau passes away
Last Sunday, former OJHL and CCHL netminder Antoine Bourdeau sadly passed away at the age of 25-years-old in Quebec.
Tributes have been pouring in over the last 24 hours including from the CCHL, Ontario Hockey Academy, as well as the OJHL's Markham Royals, who he played for during part of the 2019-20 season.
"The Royals organization is saddened to hear of the passing of alumni goaltender Antoine Bourdeau.
Antoine played for Markham in the 2019/20 season and was a beloved member of the organization in his time here. Our thoughts and condolences are with his loved ones in this time." the Markham Royals said on X.

"The Central Canada Hockey League would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of former @brockbraves goaltender Antoine Bourdeau during this very difficult time." the CCHL said in a social media post.
