One team hoping to still sneak into the playoffs is the Calgary Flames, who are currently battling for a wildcard playoff spot. The Flames General Manager Brad Treliving would make a very interesting trade this afternoon with the Arizona Coyotes.
The Flames Gm traded. Connor Mackey, and Brett Ritchie to the Coyotes for Troy Stecher, and Nick Ritchie. The interesting thing is this trade is actually history making as according to Sportsnet the first brother vs brother transactions in NHL history.
Out of this deal the Flames got the better deal with Nick Ritchie having more offensive upside than his older brother, and Troy Stecher has always been described as an underrated gem for the teams he's played for in the past. You be judge, who got the upper hand?
