A former Vancouver Canucks goaltender has found himself back on the waiver wire.

According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the Columbus Blue Jackets have placed goaltender Spencer Martin on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters.

"G Spencer Martin (CBJ) on waivers."

Martin, 28, was placed on waivers by the Vancouver Canucks before the start of the 2023-24 season after the team brought in veteran help for their backup role in Casey DeSmith from the Montreal Canadiens.


So far this season, the Oakville, Ontario native has appeared in 13 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets where he has a record of 3-8-1 with a 3.65 goals against average and an .887 save percentage.
