For the second day in a row, we have activity on the waiver wire, however today it features a name very familiar to fans of the Vancouver Canucks.

In a post on social media on Sunday afternoon, CapFriendly announced that former Vancouver Canucks first round pick Brendan Gaunce has been placed on waivers by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Sudbury, Ontario native was selected 26th overall in the first round by the Vancouver Canucks in 2012 and went on to appear in 117 games for them between the 2015-16 and 2018-19 seasons.

If Gaunce clears waivers on Monday afternoon, he'll be assigned to the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters, who are set to take on the Hershey Bears in the Eastern Conference Final.
