Broberg was the Oilers' first round pick back in 2019, where they selected him eight overall and according to Allan Mitchell of The Athletic, he could become a trade candidate this season.
The Orebro, Sweden native has appeared in 69 games over the last two seasons with the Oilers, recording 11 points (two goals, nine assists), ten penalty minutes and is a minus-two.
There's no doubt that Broberg will see some games in Edmonton this season, but as the year drags on and the Oilers want to add an asset or two for a deep playoff run, he could become a top trade piece as the deadline rolls around in early 2024.
Broberg would fit well into the Canucks' system and age-wise, would be a solid addition to what they already have and what Patrik Allvin is trying to build for right now, as well as the future.
