Important update regarding the NHL waivers: Twelve new players including three former first-rounders
Surprisingly enough, everybody from yesterday's waivers cleared. The interest was not even for the Senator's 2018 top pick, Jacob Bernard-Docker.
Teams have announced their list of players they've decided to waive, and they're a surprise among the lot. Adam Foote's son, the former first-round pick Cal Foote, has been waived by the New Jersey Devils. Here's the full list:
Robert Hagg (ANA),
Colton White (ANA),
Jayson Megna (BOS),
Brett Murray (BUF),
Jujhar Khaira (MIN),
Vinny Lettieri (MIN),
Dakota Mermis (MIN),
Nic Petan (MIN),
Cal Foote (NJ),
Mark Jankowski (NSH),
Leon Gawanke (SJ)
Jeffrey Truchon-Viel (WPG).
After signing a deal with the Devils, Foote's older son appears to have failed to crack their roster. A young defenseman with tons of potential that plays a game with a resemblance to his father's should be a target of interest for the Canucks.
Should the Canucks place their bid on the 2016 first-round pick?
