LATEST | Kraken forward to be disciplined for hit on official?
During Saturday night's game between the Los Angeles Kings and Seattle Kraken, an incident occurred which saw an official hit by one of the players.
Seattle Kraken forward Eeli Tolvanen was going into the corner to take the puck away from Los Angeles Kings defenceman Mikey Anderson, but took out an official from behind, who was standing in the way between the two players.
As the official was laying face down on the ice in the corner, Tolvanen can be seen trying to say sorry and that it was an accident, which is the most likely case, as he didn't receive a penalty on the play.
It's unlikely that Tolvanen will be suspended or fined, but we'll have to wait and see what the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has to say. The last time a player was suspended for abuse of an official, which can be either verbal or physical, was Evander Kane in 2019, who was handed a three-game ban.
Do you think Eeli Tolvanen should be suspended or fined for this incident? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
